Weaver of Dreams and Nightmares
KS Kasati is a descendant of the Oglala Lakota who lives with one foot in both worlds. Walking the thin line between dreams and nightmares, Turtle Island and America, and the past and the future.
Their work focuses on the reclamation of horror through queer, disabled, and Indigenous perspectives and draws inspiration from historical and everyday horrors. Currently they are working on a long form series as well as short, interactive, and non fiction stories.
Influenced by Native folklore, Gothic fiction, and queer horror, their writing delves into both the supernatural and the intimate terror found in everyday life. Fortunate to call the tumbling brush of the west their home, they grew up in a small rural town in the land of the Shoshone and Bannock and currently they reside with 2 alien creatures in Salt Lake City, Utah.
When not exploring the nether realms, they are working on ways technology can be used for community empowerment and exploring the intersection of ancestral knowledge and contemporary storytelling.
Welcome to the next dimension of terror.
